Thrifty Thursday

Today is Thrifty Thursday. I’d like to start by announcing that I will be having a Christmas in July Sale through the entire month of July. Etsy is having a Christmas in July promotion for a week, but I thought I’d do it for the entire month. You will receive 10% off anything in the shop. No coupons, no codes. So, for you Flip-Fur fans, they are only $18 a pair! So mark your calendars and get started on your Christmas shopping early!

Nalin at Peacock and Lotus ( is having a 50% of sale. Time is running out on this sale. Nalin sells handcrafted jewelry and hair accessories.

Carrie at CarrieGems ( is offering free shipping on orders of $40 or more. Stock up on beads and more.

Josh from Woodriver Woodcrafts ( is having a 30% off sale on all cutting boards.

Want to make your own craft item? Olga from Glenniz ( is having a sale on cross stitch patterns. Stitch iconic pictures of Ingrid Bergman or Queen. The more you buy, the more you save.

Ashley from AshleyMarieDesign ( is having a sale on her bottle cap or scrabble tile designs. 5 for $5.

And remember, there are a lot of other people having sales. I know a lot of people on Etsy will be doing a Christmas in July sale. Search ChristmasInJuly or simply CIJ.

I mean come on, who doesn’t start their Christmas shopping in July? If you’re like my mom, you’re done by July. I already have 1 thing on my Christmas list – new deerskin workgloves. Mine have holes in the fingers.

If you wish to be featured on this blog, please contact me. I will promote your sales, your new listings, new ideas, Etsy shop, whatever.

Hoping for Sales

  1. Hi Jen! We really enjoyed browsing through the selections that you posted. We are fellow interactive blogging members from Etsy!!! It’s so wonderful that you are helping promote some many shops and listings; we love this! And the Christmas in July feature is a must!!!! Warm wishes to you. P.S. The slippers on your Etsy shop look super cozy!

    • Thank you. I try to promote other people because I am a firm believer in Karma. You help one person by promoting them. Then you let them know. They in turn will post your blog on their Facebook/Twitter/Pintrest. More people see your blog. They check it out. Oh, you have an Etsy shop like their friend. They stop in. They might buy something, or mention it to a friend/relative. That f/r in turn looks in your shop. Maybe they have a blog. They like your stuff, so they promote it. Or they buy it. Or they mention it to a friend. Somehow, someway, I’m bound to get a sale. Hopefully. Either way, I’m getting views.
